Joseph and Gwendolyn Straus Rabbinical Seminary
The Joseph and Gwendolyn Straus Rabbinical Seminary has a
distinguished record of preparing students to serve in some of the most
prestigious, pulpits, schools and university campuses around the world. Under the direction of Rosh Kollel: Rabbi Yehoshua Reich, our
rabbinical students spend three years engaged in intensive Talmud study
alongside their Halacha courses in the laws of Shabbat, Kashrut, Family
Purity and Mourning. They also have the opportunity to take part in Ohr
Torah Stone's Amiel program which provides training in the practical skills
required by a practicing rabbi and educator. Rabbinical Students receive generous stipends as well as
comfortable housing in the brand new Israel Henry Beren Residences. On completion of their studies, successful students currently receive semicha from the Straus Rabbinical Seminary and Rav Zalman Nechemia Goldberg. Some of our students also receive semicha from the Chief Rabbinate of Israel We are always delighted to hear from potential applicants. Please
