The Joseph and Gwendolyn Straus Rabbinical Seminary
A. The Program:The Joseph and Gwendolyn Straus Rabbinical Seminary has a distinguished record of preparing students to serve in some of the most prestigious, pulpits, schools and university campuses around the world. Under the direction of Rosh Kollel, Rabbi Yehoshua Reich, our rabbinical students spend three years engaged in intensive Talmud study alongside their Halacha courses in the laws of Shabbat, Kashrut, Family Purity and Mourning. They also have the opportunity to take part in Ohr Torah Stone's Amiel program which provides training in the practical skills required by a practicing rabbi and educator. Rabbinical students receive generous stipends as well as highly subsidized housing in the brand new Israel Henry Beren Residence Complex. On completion of their studies, successful students currently receive semicha from the Straus Rabbinical Seminary and Rav Zalman Nechemia Goldberg. Some of our students also receive semicha from the Chief Rabbinate of Israel. Please be in touch with our office to receive an application.
